I received a message about Firebase dynamic links shutting down. Do you have an alternative provider
Google Firebase's Message on Dynamic Links shutdown
Received a Firebase email shutdown of their dynamic links product on Aug 25, 2025? here's the breakdown.
Breaking it Down
Firebase is shutting down its dynamic links product. This feature has proved useful for customers who wanted to improve app installs, or deeplink into their apps from external apps. We had previously published this article explaining this product and its use cases
- Firebase Dynamic links: Shutting down on August 25, 2025.
- Branch.io Quick links: Similar product offered by Branch.io
Implications for Your Existing App
If you were using firebase dynamic links feature (via firebase console or the 'BN - create dynamic link' workflow in your bubble app), you can now request a rebuild with Branch.io integrated into your new build.
- We have added support for branch.io integration starting June 1, 2025.
- To do this, simply head to your bdk project page and you will see a Branch.io integration section in the build settings.
- The section links to a 5-minute step-by-step guide. Complete it, fill out the missing info, and save build settings.
- Then you can purchase and request a rebuild from next steps tab of your bdk project page.
When to do this?
Don't wait till last minute. All dynamic links even previously created will stop working on August 25, 2025. For easier transition for your customers, we recommend requesting a rebuild as soon as time permits you.
Ready for an Immediate Upgrade?
Eager to migrate to Branch.io deeplinks right away? Let's do it. Request a rebuild via your bdk native project page.
